Hearthstone’s new expansion is coming out tomorrow. I am really excited for it because there is a lot of new change, excitement, deck crafting, and fun to be had. All cards have been revealed so I thought I’d do a quick prediction on how good each card actually is.
Ahh Black Friday. A short-standing tradition where we follow up our day hemmed with the concept of ‘giving thanks for what with have,’ and then taking a big fat shit on that dream and forgetting all of that the next day.. or even the same night.
Consumerism has its pros, sure. It creates jobs and motivates others to create cool things all the time. But the decadence that is Black Friday to its core is as jaded as coloring easter eggs for the bunny on Easter, or dressing up and handing kids candy on Halloween.
An ice breaker favorite, Cards Against Humanity is a board game essential to your college freshman first semester package. The company traditionally despises the motifs of Black Friday. Every year they have done something silly. Back in 2013 instead of slashing prices like many competitors, they INCREASED the price of their game. In 2014, they sold literal bull shit for 6 bucks. In 2015 they gave fans the ability to buy absolutely nothing for $5. This year I believe they have outdone themselves.
There comes a time sometimes when you learn something cool and want to share that with others. Here are some things that has recently come to my attention.
The origin of the acronym I am using is a triple entendre. The first is that it stands for Sharing is Charing. The second is the main way the term [sic] is used, which is as an editing term used with direct quotes or excerpts with the premise that it is exactly how it appears in the original, so as to highlight errors, mistakes, context, etc. The third is a play on the slang term “sick” showing coolness/radness with a certain matter.
Holy smokes, this game.
Stardew Valley is a farming sim RPG inspired by games such as Harvest Moon. It is my game of the year and perhaps most impressively, it is entirely made by one dude. One dude made the sprites, wrote the code, made the music, and put a nice fat gift bow on top.
So that happened.
I am just going to leave a few notes here as a reminder of what I stand for at my age now.
I am not going to talk about politics here ever again. Sorry.
Life is a wonder in so many ways. There are good and bad times. Sometimes when I feel absolutely crummy, in the conceptual words of Butters from South Park, life is great because you know that you can also feel just as happy. I have made some good and terrible life decisions and I thought I’d share some more recent ones that I’ve made that positively resonated in my own life.
I’m avoiding math work right now. Anyways.
After listening to the lyrics, I am not quite sure if this is a positive or negative love story. Or a love story at all. Regardless it is a catchy kickin jam.
