My 5 Worst and Best Purchases of 2018

One of the best things to come out of tracking every purchase I made of 2018 was that I got to see my biggest mistakes and successes. A purchase could have been good or bad for a rainbow of possibilties. Reasons for bad purchases include the cost, the functional use, a scam, etc! Reasons for good purchases include getting that bang for buck, generating fantastic memories, making orgasmic sounds as I consume the food item in question, etc. In each listing I will mention each price, when I bought it, and why is was so bad or good.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate: A Full Review

Smash Ultimate: Everyone is Here, but at what cost?

My most anticipated game of the year and favorite video game franchise of all time dropped a massive game this December and I’ve been playing it for a large quantity of hours. I’ve made about 4-5 posts about Ultimate on this blog already so I’ll spare the introduction and get right to what I think about this game.

Spoilers disclaimer paragraph: frankly I didn’t play Adventure mode enough to give serious spoilers but I’m about 8 hours in that. I will assume you know the whole roster. Not bad spoilers wise here!

My Mouse Pad Project + A Look at my Desk Setup

As sort of a life update I recently moved, which I often find is a fantastic opportunity for breeding new attempts at creative redesigns of places in heavy use. Being on the computer every day for my foreseeable future, I thought I’d maximize what I could with the budget I had to make this an enjoyable place to be.

One measure I took was making a custom art mouse pad that aims to add personality to my station. Months ago I also built myself a computer that is designed for making the workspace fun and more capable while also giving room for any improvements or customizations I want to add in coming years. 

In this post I’ll have an OG picture of the mousepad I created as well as a look at my new desk layout so you can see the pad in the heat of it as well as the rest of the look I went for.
