Ice Breakers Grab Bag 2021

I have been living in pseudo-isolation with my wife for almost a year now due to the times. When we eloped last fall and I saw my folks irl for the first time in quite some long time, I was a bumbling mess. I was weird, I was awkward, and not in my usual sorta charming sorta goofy way, but (in my opinion) a flailing, lost, and concerning sort of weird and awkward. I lacked in person social interaction outside of my wife, and I failed to behave in a way that made sense to me. After I got the introductory howyadoin horrors out of my system I was fine, but I thought wow, I am so out of touch with conversing. I have concerns about my social behavior once we are back to an era that allows for public excursion without fear for community safety. How will I function and do the words thing? Heavens forbid I meet a new person and have a desire to get to know them more. AHH.

This kind of content is some of my favorite to make here, but it takes a while for the good stuff. 10 more ice breakers. I made one in 2017 which was a quirky little thing. The old ones provoked outside box thought but they were also mostly shallow borderline absurd questions. We live in a more serious, cutting-edge time! Working from home is cool now and shaking hands isn’t. Well these ice breakers aren’t *per-say* serious, but I think if you stick to the script, the ice will do a shimmy. The goal of course with these questions is to get people talking about themselves and what better way to encourage this than with an intriguing question that offers insight on their essence? Below is my list of questions I intend to bust out for better or worse once the time shines (likely better since it can’t get much worse right now).

You’re getting through the game and then BAM you get hit with a JAM. These songs are all for when you’re gonna need to pull yourself up by your bootstraps.
