For the third time in this blog, the previous time 3 years ago, I have listed and ranked my 25 favorite video games.
No duplicates from the same series are allowed in my list, because it makes for a more fun and interesting list. Gaming has changed a lot in the 3 last years, as well as what is important to me as a gamer. These days incredible games are pumped out left and right, and certainly this list is indicative of what games I had the time to play, as there are just countless games I will never get to that I think would otherwise be on this list.
What I found is plenty of change from the past list, as some sequels finally left their distinct mark on me and shined. As I built this list, a change I reflect on is that I’ve never cared less about the whole “bang for your buck” value proposition in regards to playtime hours per cost of the game when I can spend thousands of hours into good games that cost me nothing. Consequentially, games that respected my time, were accessible, opted for quality over quantity, and left a memorable mark aged better.
