Adobe Flash Player, one of the greatest legacies in web content, was a web plugin that always shot above its waist, never intended to be a tool uses as widely and deeply as it was. It was only a matter of time before this security nightmare was no longer supported, and that time for browsers is officially at the end of this riveting year of 2020. At the time, there was hardly an equal to the lightweight rich power Flash offered over the web, even though it really wasn’t built for it. Iconic games that became franchises got their start here, such as Alien Hominid, Happy Wheels, FarmVille, Club Penguin, Angry Birds, The Binding of Isaac, and Bejeweled. In this post, I’m going to give a shoutout to the 10 most iconic Flash games of my childhood that I will remember as part of the legacy they were.
